Biofuels, Energy Systems, Heat Transfer, Internal Combustion Engines, Mass Transfer, Non Conventional Sources Of Energy, Thermodynamics, Turbo-machines, Combustion in IC Engines.

Brief Research Profile

Dr Soni is a Professor in the Mechanical EngineeringDepartment. He headed the Mechanical Engineering department for more than three and half year. He Faculty Coordinator Training and Placement at present. Prior to this Dr. Soni was the chairperson for the Golden Jubilee year of MNIT. He passed B.E. from MREC with honours in 1979,did his M.Tech. from IIT Delhi with CGPA of 9.6 and also obtained PhD from IITD. He has guided 6 research leading to award of PhD and ten more are under progress.He has published more than 63 research papers in Journals and conferences, completed projects of Rs. 54 lacs and one DST project recently awarded for Rs. 37.8 Lacs. He has written 3 books and 4 chapters
